Thai Language Class
At Lingo, we see language first of all, as a communication tool.
Learning a new language opens your mind, and it opens you to the possibility of getting to know new people with different perspectives.
You don’t need to be fluent in Thai to see the benefits. If you try to speak just a few words of Thai, your conversation partners will double up their efforts to make themselves understood in English.
Our lessons aren’t an academic pursuit. If you dive deeply into the Thai alphabet, grammar, or calligraphy, a different language school may be better for you.
Of course, there is a place for grammar in the lessons at Sawadee Thai, but grammar isn’t a goal in itself. We’ll cover it as it helps you speak more fluently and faster.
Lingo is an official test centre
As an official test centre for MCYS and MFA officers, we take pride in ensuring the quality of our courses and assessments. With this expertise, we can deliver a comprehensive program that enables individuals to master the Thai language.
Centralised location
Our Thai language classes are conducted at United House, which is centrally located and accessible. It is just a 6-minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut or Somerset MRT station.
Small group classes
We limit group sizes to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure the quality of our Thai classes. When classes are small enough to facilitate individual student-teacher interaction, a minor miracle occurs: teachers teach, and students learn.

Learn online conveniently without the need to travel to our centre. You will receive the same attention as in an onsite class without the hassle.
we believe learning any language starts with basic conversation. When you’re comfortable asking basic questions and talking about oft-discussed topics such as introducing yourself, lessons become more enjoyable and you build up momentum.
You can practice both the written and oral components through mock exams. Our specialised teachers will cover all aspects of the exam to ensure you’re fully prepared.

I have learned under several Thai teachers and Khroo Thip is one of the best that I have met. She is a very patient teacher and will take time to make sure every student is able to follow the pace of the class. She is also very friendly, and makes it a joy to come to class every time. However, she is also strict enough to ensure that all the students have a good foundation of the Thai language.
I enjoy her class as she is able to incorporate daily information on Thailand into the study materials. This helps me to better appreciate Thai culture, and also apply what I learned into the daily activities of Thai society. Firstly I would like to extend a big thanks to Lingo school for providing a great environment & teacher for our class. I have been studying Thai language with Kruu Nat for about three years, from Basic Level 2 up to Advance 1, where I am today. I had previously learnt Thai in Thailand but made little progress with my previous Thai tutor as the content/materials were not as solid & extensive as Lingo’s. I have seen for myself how much I have progressed in the language in terms of reading, comprehension, listening, writing & speaking, under the teachings of Kruu Nat. Kruu Nat is a great & very dedicated teacher.
She prepares all our learning materials before class & ensures the materials are paced to our level. She also tries to stretch us in terms of expanding our vocabulary & higher level comprehension of the language as we progress further. Kruu Nat ensures we build a strong foundation of the language as we navigate through the technical aspects of the language with each level. Kruu Nat is also a very patient teacher, as there were many instances where I kept forgetting the meaning to certain words/phrases, and she will always patiently re-explain them to me to reinforce my understanding and learning. Kruu Nat also makes the class very interesting by always relating back to real life situations or examples to aid our understanding of the language application to the real world.
Through the course of these years of learning Thai with Kruu Nat, I can see myself becoming a more confident speaker of the language with now the ability to use a wide range of complex sentence structure to express myself. I am certain the students who will come after us, to study Thai with Kruu Nat, will also make tremendous progress in the language.
Lastly, I would like to say a big thank you to Kruu Nat for taking me to where I am today. One key takeaway from the years of learning Thai with Lingo is that – there is never an end to the learning journey. But having a great mentor & teacher by our side, can make a world of difference!
